Upcoming iPhone 7 Plus Will Reportedly Sport a Dual-Camera Setup and 3GB of RAM

The iPhone 7 Plus will reportedly come with a dual-lens camera along with 3GB of RAM, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Previously the Apple analyst has suggested that Apple is working on two versions of the iPhone 7 Plus: one with a single rear camera to match the iPhone 7 and another “Pro” model with a dual-camera setup. However, Kuo has now revised his original prediction, saying that Apple will only offer the dual-camera variant of the iPhone 7 Plus, and it comes with 3GB of RAM to compensate for the increased image processing requirements. The report also suggest that Apple will continue to produce two iPhone models, a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch model.

The latest report from Kuo came after a schematics of the alleged iPhone 7 and 7 Plus was shared by prolific leaker Steve Hemmerstofer, more commonly known as @OnLeaks. The leaked design blueprint shows an oval-shaped camera bulge, which could again point to a dual-camera setup. However, the dual-camera array is supposedly exclusive to the bigger Plus model; the 4.7-inch iPhone will still retain a single-lens camera. Besides that the purported iPhone 7 Plus will also exclusively feature the Smart Connector from the iPad Pro.

The report also claims that both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will retain the same dimension as its predecessor aside from some minor tweaks, and we might be seeing the same smartphone design for Apple in three consecutive years.
