CRYORIG Announces Two New PC Cases Made For Your Living Room

One common thought that usually crosses one’s mind is: wouldn’t it be great if we could play games in our living room? Well, here’s where Cryorig comes to the picture. The company has teased two new PC cases that addresses such thoughts. Sure, living room-oriented PCs have been around for quite a while now (E.g. Intel’s NUC, Gigabyte’s BRIX), but nothing quite like what Cryorig has to offer.

The first PC case by Cryorig is called the OLA. Interestingly, this PC case echoes designs from the Mac Pro and MSI Vortex. Cryorig’s cylindrical PC case has individual compartments that houses components such as the CPU, PSU, and GPU. Speaking of GPUs, what makes the OLA different from the MSI Vortex is the graphics card clearance. With the Vortex, one is only able to equip the PC with a maximum of two GPUs – and not a full-sized graphics cards at that. Well, with the OLA, there’s enough clearance for one to slap on, say, a GTX 1080.

It’s also worth mentioning that the OLA has two side air intake ducts surrounding the case to ensure efficient cooling – as well as a large 140mm XT140 exhaust fan located on top.

Next up is the TAKU. If owning a PC case that screams for attention isn’t one’s forte, then the “oblivious” TAKU PC case by Cryorig should do it. At first glance, the PC case looks nothing more than a typical mini table used by one’s mum to showcase her expensive ornaments. But, open up the “drawer” on the TAKU and one would be greeted with a glorious sight of PC components.

According to Cryorig, the TAKU PC case is made from a 3mm thick aluminium chassis. In addition, the TAKU supports 250mm long graphics cards along with 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drive bays. To complement the “I’m so not a PC case” design of the TAKU are wooden base legs to further add support for the PC case.

Unfortunately, the release dates for both PC cases by Cryorig are expected to be around 2017. However, the company will be making an appearance during Computex 2016 where both the TAKU and OLA PC cases will be showcased – there are even talks about a live stream event by the company.
