NVIDIA’s Ansel Allows Gamers To Capture High Resolution Screenshots At Any Angle

Aside from the brand new Pascal-based GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards, NVIDIAhas also a new tool called Ansel. It is indeed a game screenshot tool but rather than just capturing a simple photo, the Ansel allows gamers to screenshot their gameplay in any angle.

In other words, gamers are not just saving a mere picture of their gameplay as the tool essentially freezes the actual in-game moment. From there, gamers can then move around the moment and choose to snap the moment at the angle that they prefer.

Furthermore, gamers are able to save their captures at a massive resolution of up to 4.5 gigapixels. They also able to utilize Ansel to capture 360-degrees panoramic screenshots and convert it to be compatible with Google Cardboard and VR headsets.

Ansel also allows gamers to edit their captures using a selection of post-processing tools including brightness, vignette, and many more. Gamers can even create and use their own FX filters which is yet another interesting feature of the tool.

Given these abilities, it is natural that game developers need to enable the support for Ansel in their games. NVIDIA has confirmed several titles that will support Ansel such as The Witcher 3, Tom Clancy’s The Division, No Man’s Sky and many more but didn’t actually reveal the official general roll-out date for it.
