The hardware specifications are rounded out by up to 16GB of RAM. Connectivity is also well equipped with a USB Type-C, USB 3.0, USB 2.0. HDMI out, LAN and the 3-in-1 media card reader.
HP’s Pavillion AIO PC lineup is available in two sizes: the 23.8-inch display and 27-inch display. The micro edge display, which reduces bezel width by 75%, is only available on the 23.8-inch version. The narrow bezels do not leave much room for a webcam, and HP’s solution for this was to put the webcam inside the PC’s enclosure.
HP calls it the “privacy camera”. When pressed, the camera neatly pops up from the top of the display using a spring; depress it and it will hide inside the PC’s enclosure and disable the webcam. The sleek AIO PC only comes in one variant: Full HD display and non-touch screen.
The regular displays, on the other hand, are available in either QHD and Full HD, with the option to switch to a touch interface. What they won’t be getting is the privacy camera, as it looks like HP has made it exclusive for the micro edge display. Instead, the regular display styles will be getting the standard HP webcam with an optional upgrade to Intel’s RealSense Camera. The 3D camera allows the use of Windows Hello, providing enhanced security through biometric authentication.
Pricing starts at $699.99 (about RM 2790) for the 23.8-inch model and $999.99 (about RM 3990) for the 27-inch model, available starting early June. Nothing was said about the price of the micro edge display. Availability in Malaysia was not mentioned either, but it should not be long before it hits our shores.
