During The Steam Summer Sale, You Can't Purchase CS:GO As a Gift

One of the best parts of the Steam Summer Sale is giving games as gifts to your friends or girlfriends if you are lucky enough.

But, according to an explanation made by Valve on Reddit, Counter Strike: Global Offensive is not available for a gift purchase.

CS:GO will not be giftable during the sale. Our goal with sales is to grow the community and historically, during sales, the new users that stick around are mainly the ones that purchase copies for themselves.

An understandable reason if Valve is trying to reach new players and value them more than the money they earn from the purchase. Also, a good way to show that Valve wants alt-accounts to come to an end.

If you so eagerly want to gift it, you should gift the money to your friends.
