Steam Announces Anime Weekend Sale; Doesn’t Actually Sell Anime

Steam is running a Anime themed sale for this weekend, and has discounted a massive number of Japanese made titles ranging from Disgaea to Hatoful Boyfriend. That being said, the second installment of the now annual Anime sale still doesn’t have any actual anime shows available.

Over 200 Japanese titles are currently discounted on Steam, although some outliers like The Legend of Korra, Transformers: Devastation, and Dark Souls III have somehow ended up included in the sale. Not that anyone will complain considering that these titles are being sold for half off.

The actual Japanese games cover almost every genre, with more than a few titles worth picking up. Last year’s Tales of Zestria is currently at half price, while the immensely enjoyable Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 has a 33-percent discount. In fact, there should be something for everyone. Although, the Final Fantasy games are noticeably missing from the sale.

Like all Steam Weekend Sales, this one should last until Monday. We won’t be seeing another big sale like this for at least a couple of months; and this looks like a good time for fans of Anime styled games to pick something up to pass the time.
