Alongside the new Transformer 3 and ZenFone 3 devices, ASUS has unveiled a rather surprise product at it on-going Zenvolution press event – a robot called Zenbo. While the technical details behind the robot has not yet been revealed, the concept video that was published by ASUS showed that it is designed to be an all-in-one personal home assistant.
According to ASUS, the Zenbo apparently have the ability to move around independently and able to understand spoken words. With smartphone integration, the Zenbo will able to provide alerts to other family members during emergency situations in which they are able to access the robot remotely to access the situations.
It also able to connect and control other household equipment such as TV, air conditioner, lights, and more which showed that it could be play an important role in ASUS smart homes ecosystem. Zenbo is also provide reminders and information to users when needed.
As adorable as the Zenbo might have looked, ASUS didn’t reveal any launch date for it but interestingly, the robot will be priced at USD 599 which is not too bad given its capabilities. Meanwhile, ASUS has also opened registration for developers that are interested to develop apps for Zenbo.
